What you'll do
My purpose during this experience is to share my passion towards Helsinki, capital of the country that consumes most coffee, has the best education model and crazy popular karaoke scene.
We will cover the "must-see" places of Helsinki, but also some of my personal favourite areas, less discovered by tourists. The tour is always adjusted according to weather, events in the city and your special interests so you will have the best experience of HEL. We will start the tour at the post card place of the city, the Senate Square, where you'll learn curious facts of Helsinki's history and architecture.
We'll pass by the port area, where is located the biggest Orthodox Cathedral of Northern Europe, the Presidential Palace and the City Hall. On the Market Square we will catch a sight of Finnish people favourite winter activity, ice-swimming!
There's no Helsinki experience without riding a public tram and tasting the best cinnamon bun of the planet on Cafe Regatta. On the Northern part of the city, we'll find one of Helsinki's most curious sights, the Rock Church. To finish the experience, we'll discover Helsinki's newest and coolest attraction, our brand new city library Oodi.

I'm passionate about history and languages, and love to share knowledge with people surrounding me. I have backpacked around the world, and now after settling back to Helsinki, I feel very eager to show my city to the world.
I have worked as a tour guide in Finland and abroad for a few years. I'm very easygoing, and always updated of events going on in Helsinki. I know quite a lot about Finland's history, but I also enjoy sharing curiosities about our society, habits and politics.

Where you'll be
Besides the bucket list places of Helsinki, I'll show you some of the hidden gems of HEL. We'll discover different areas of the city centre, all of them with their own charm. Helsinki has a wild mixture of architectural styles from the 1700's until today. The cultural scene is always moving fast forward, and new coffee places and restaurants pop up all the time. Halfway through the tour we can stop for a snack in a local's favourite hangaround.

This tour was very personable, like walking the city with an old friend. Jonna was accomodating of the group needs such as bathroom breaks and snack pitstops. While there was an agenda it didn't feel too structured or rush which I appreciated. Certainly worth doing and a great way to get the "bucket list" items checked off of your tourist list.

Fun, friendly and well-structured tour. Jonna is a great guide who enjoys her job, is professional and has a good wit. So she ads fun stories, answers all your questions and keeps the tour flowing in a good atmosphere. With my partner we both enjoyed the time we spent on the tour. Highly recommended!
