What you'll do

18:00- 19:00
At 18:00, our guides will be at the meeting point – Saint Joseph’s Cathedral to pick you up. After a brief discussion about the itinerary, let our tour on foot begin!
The first dish on our bucket list will be a dinner staple among locals - Mien Luon, comprising tender vermicelli stir-fried with crunchy fried eels and plenty of Vietnamese fresh herbs.
Then, we will head to explore the local night market in the Old Quarter and drop by a local family for some Nuoc Gao Rang (Brown rice tea).

19:00 – 20:00
Our next stop is O Quan Chuong , the only surviving gate of the ancient citadel . After some history sharing here, it's time to get our bellies filled with something warm and delicious such as the local steamed rice rolls (Banh Cuon).

20:00-21:00
Saying goodbye to Banh Cuon, we'll get back to our walking journey down the narrow paths leading to hidden, hard-to-find food stalls to try some other local delicacies such as the world-famous food phenomenon Banh My, or something strange as Nem Nuong (grilled fermented pork).

We’ll finish the tour with a refreshing dish of tropical fruits.
Other things to note
Our experience focuses on REAL local life. Hence, on the tour, you might see things that others think it's dirty. However, to us, local touch makes an experience. Moreover, don't worry as we guarantee that our food stops are absolutely clean.

I’m Linh, co-founder of Hanoi Street Food Experience. As a local guide, I love guiding guests to feel the sense of our ‘antique & dynamic’ city, which can be illustrated in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

Having worked with different tour companies, understanding guests’ truly needs, I decided to create a unique trip to make them feel familiar, then fall in love with my culture.

So, don’t worry when being stuck in the 'no-lane' traffic, while getting confused finding the most tasty food in town. I’ll be here as your buddy, showing you around the Old Quarter matrix, tasting various local dishes, for you to truly feel ‘Hanoi', like we do!

Our tour with Linh and Lien was just great. They both are perfect english speakers and so welcoming and open minded. It was the best tour we had in Hanoi. We had such a great time and tried a lot of delicious food and drinks we never would have tried without the tour. We had a food wish and they customized their tour for us. They even brought us back to our hotel and for the rest of our stay in Hanoi we could cantact them if we needed anything. They are so nice. I clearly recommend this tour to everyone. It's worth every cent!
