What you'll do

You will venture into the pottery studio, learn how pottery is made and hand-build your very own mug. You will be guided through each step to successfully make a mug from a slab of clay, decorate it and personalize it. All the tools and supplies will be provided. After your mug is made it will need to dry for 7-10 days, then bisque fired, after that it will be glazed for you (in the color of your choice) and fired again. The mug will be available for pick up in about 2 weeks or it can be shipped anywhere in the world for a small fee. No experience required. Please wear clothes and shoes that you can get a little dirty. We provide aprons, however you're still likely to get clay on your clothes, and shoes. But it'll be well worth it!

Christine & Tino

I’m Christine Silbaugh of Back Bay Pottery in Los Osos CA. I was born and raised here on the central coast. Growing up in this beautiful area I couldn’t help but be inspired by nature, birds, leaves, flowers, and the ocean. I was raised by artists and crafters and have been creating my whole life. I was taught how to look at things, not for what they are but for what they can become. I have been running a successful pottery business for almost 10 years.
