What you'll do

Ditch the digital noise and escape to the natural world to practice the art of seeing. We’ll hike 2 miles and gain 200 feet of elevation to observe, question, and reflect on the interconnections of the uniquely beautiful Sonoran Desert.

Along the trail we’ll learn about the vegetation, geology, insects, and animals that surround us. We’ll pause at 3 serene locations to take Naturalist-style field notes with two goals in mind. The first goal is to see deeply with intentional curiosity and the second is to allow our brains to be wholly occupied by that one objective. Your observations, questions, and reflections will enrich your experience and develop gratitude and reverence for your environment.

Learn to harness your natural desire to know and use it as a tool to help you see, wonder, and remember future experiences.

Janelle was very informative. She adapted our hike to our skill level. She was concerned about our safety and wanted us to have a wonderful experience. I highly recommend her.

Janelle was great. She made sure I was well prepared for the experience, was very informative/knowledgeable, and incorporated mindfulness into the hiking. We stopped when neccessary and when she was able to spot wildlife. She was patient with me while trying to point them out to me because my eyesight is apparently not that great 😬🤣. The two hours flew by and I was a bit bummed when the time was up. I had a great time!!
