What you'll do

In a historical neighborhood which used to be "the belly of Paris", we will walk to my favorite gourmet places which are not so easy to spot at first sight: first, you will discover unique vegetables and fruits which are locally grown and truly seasonal. They all look so vibrant and alive, I'm sure you'll find some species you've never seen in your life! The same goes for the fish and meats which are all sourced in France in an ethical way. From saucisson -a true national pride that expats miss the most- through state-of-the art pastries, amazing "artisan" cold cuts from South of France (Gers, Basque country and Corsica) paired with a glass of natural wine (which won't cause you any headache!), golden crusty buttery croissants all hand made, to perfectly curated cheese carefully aged with loads of love...
You will get an authentic overview of our French Terroirs and most importantly, the most tasty to your palate! I promise every product you will try will leave you some memories you won't ever forget. Even if we're spoilt in France, it's not so easy to find high quality products with authentic flavors. With this tour, I would love to show you how real French food should taste!

Born in Paris, I still live in the Batignolles area in the 17th. Since 2014, I've been organizing 4 different food tours to share my devouring passion. No wonder I married a 3 Michelin star sommelier! Together, we are a devilish couple and we only select the best products! Occasionally, we organize food and wine pairing diners to highlight truly outstanding combinations.
I left marketing at L'Oreal to dedicate myself to food. Now working as a foodwriter for My little Paris, I am also a consultant for food trends in Paris at Le Cordon Bleu culinary school. Besides, I just finished a thesis about modernizing French gastronomy and I'm also exploring food photography. Thanks to my food influencers network, I'm always on to discover the hottest Parisian restaurants and foodie spots: please follow my IG adventures on @parisfoodtour

Where you'll be

I will take you to a hidden narrow dead end where all the best Michelin and hipster chefs go to source their ingredients. Then we will go to the oldest pastry shop founded in 1730, but also a cool modern French pastry concept store. We'll continue with an old fashion grocery store which is an Ali Baba's cave, a natural wine bar that looks like an old pharmacy, a modern instagrammable bakery, and a cheese shop own by an ex banker and cello player!

Aurore makes seeing the very best of Paris’s specialty shops and tiny food markets so very accessible- with thorough explanations of the history of food, the current movement to bring back real food, and the young entrepreneurs who are at the forefront. My husband and I met so many young and earnest artisans as we made our way to interesting and new small businesses - bakers, cheese makers, chocolatier, butcher, fisherman, green grocer - long-standing trades that will become staid without new ideas and new blood. Very interesting, enlightening, delicious and one-of-a-kind. Thanks, Aurore, for making our tour feel so relaxed and unhurried - it made for buying specialty items along the way, to take home as gifts, so effortless. I felt like I was with my own personal shopper:) You really do a great service to the foodies among us. Thank you! Great success to you in your food guiding - you’re a natural! The food at the places Aurora brings us are good. She even tells you a little history/background of the food and how it ties in with the French culture so you get a deeper understanding of the local culture.

Aurore was very pleasant. We enjoyed talking with her. We did get some wonderful history about Paris, however I was a little disappointed with our tastings of food. I felt that there should have been a few more varieties. This was definitely not enough for a snack. I know that some places were closed do to people on Holiday in the month of August.
