Ready, Set, Action! Explore original filming locations of big blockbusters as well as smaller independent movies in Downtown Pittsburgh and get to know the history of the actual landmarks you see in the various movie scenes! This tour is perfect for the upcoming film award season.

About a hundred years ago Pittsburgh was a city of movie making for a short period of time, before Hollywood took over. The result of this era are two beautiful theaters in the cultural district. Starting in 2007 our Burgh has come back as the new "Hollywood East" when Pennsylvania started giving tax credits to movie productions. Now the list of recent movies that were shot here is endless. Come and get inspired for future movie nights!

I followed my husband to Pittsburgh seven years ago and saw the opportunity to reinvent myself. Inspired by Michael's entrepreneurial spirit I decided to offer historical tours through Pittsburgh. Since I earned a Master's Degree in Art and Architectural History, and I used to live in Rome (Italy), Berlin (Germany) as well as New York City (all great places for art + architecture), I though this would be e great fit. So I founded Bike the Burgh Tours first in 2015, and added Walk the Burgh Tours a year and a half later. After two years of doing every tour myself, I found some equally passionate and enthusiastic, local tour guides who love this city and who also strive for excellence. We love to show off our city, we love our job, and we love meeting people from all around the world! Come join us while exploring the Burgh!

The William Penn Hotel served for big movie productions and is often used for its grand interior. The Courthouse will surprise you for its architecture but also for the films shot inside.
