What you'll do

I believe that one of the best ways to deep dive in a new place and culture is through its cuisine. That’s why I want to take you on a culinary adventure and share with you the taste of Bulgaria.
We’re going to prepare traditional Bulgarian meals and after that enjoy them while sharing stories and laughing together. We’re going to start with one of the most famous Bulgarian dishes – banitsa. It’s prepared in different styles and forms but always with the same ingredients – filo pastry, eggs, cheese and kiselo mlyako (yoghurt). Banitsa is that simple dish that has always been the crown on the Bulgarian table with its golden baked crust.
The second dish we’ll prepare together is fried pork meatballs, known as kyufteta in Bulgaria. It’s an all-time favorite classic but a few pinches of the most traditional Bulgarian spices and some more tricks will transform it into a whole new tasty experience.
As a side dish we’ll prepare slow cooked beans with vegetables and mushrooms in an authentic Bulgarian pottery – gyuvech.
Get ready to get your hands dirty (I promise you it’s worth it) and your tummies full.
There will be a surprising welcome dish for you (no additional information provided), be my guest and taste it.
Other things to note
If you can't find the place or want to change the start time of the course according to your plans just text me and I will try to help.

I’m a structural engineer by profession but a person who deeply love the process of cooking and creating happy moments by heart. Let’s skip the boring part of the engineering science and jump to the art of cooking and of course – eating. I believe that food is care. I grew up in the kitchen of my grandmother where my hunger – both for cooking and eating – has begun to find its form. We’ve been talking, sharing stories and laughing by the oven and the table while preparing plenty of dishes making our mouth water. My grandmother’s kitchen was that joyful, bright and safe place where you feel loved and connected. Following my passion, I’d like to share with you that invaluable experience while preparing together traditional Bulgarian recipes passed down from generation to generation.

Pavel had such great passion for cooking it showed while he was teaching us. He was great with my primary aged children and let them be messy! The ambience was great especially when you are learning cuisine from a different culture! It was well worth the money and we left some great goodies! Thanks Pavel!
