What you'll do
Girona was founded by the Romans more than 2000 years ago and because of its geographical situation it has had to defend itself against all kinds of invasions, battles, and wars. Iberians, Romans, Visigoths, Arabs, Franks, all have left their mark here.
Our visit is a walking tour through the old quarter of the city where all the treasures that this small city contains to discover all that history.
Our tour begins next to the Onyar River, one of the 4 rivers that Girona has and where you can see the famous colored houses. From there we will visit the Medieval and Jewish neighborhoods, narrow and cobbled streets, some of them closed for centuries, reopened a few years ago. We will walk on the walls to see the city from the highest part, churches, palaces, museums, without a doubt the heart of the city in the middle ages. The Jewish quarter also known as "Call" is one of the best preserved in Europe, in it you can discover the history and secrets that surrounds every corner and every stone, the most important legends of Girona, we will also see the most famous bridges on the Onyar River, like the one built by Gustave Eiffel, the area of small shops and restaurants and if you are a fan of Game of Thrones I will also show you the locations. This complete visit to the city lasts about 3 hours and does not include visits inside monuments or museums
Other things to note
To get to Girona from Barcelona the best option is the high-speed AVANT train that takes only 35 minutes. From Girona train station to our meeting point in Plaça Sant Feliu, next to Cafeteria The River (Girona city), there are about 20 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by Taxi.

I am a Local guide in Girona. I was born here and I am in love with my city. For more than 5 years I am dedicated to making routes around the city of Girona so that visitors discover all the corners and secrets that only locals know. The visits I do combine history, culture, monuments, Game of Thrones, legends, gastronomy and much more. I always try to customize the tours to the fullest and for that I only work with small groups of maximum 10 people. You can also hire a Private tour, then you will have a private guide only for your group of friends or family.
Working with such small groups, high quality service is achieved and customers can ask all questions, not only about the tour, but also help them with all kinds of advice about the city, restaurants and everything they need.
