What you'll do
We’ll meet up in the morning in Zakynthos town, where you’ll receive your bike. We start off, immediately leaving the hustle and bustle of town behind us. Our route meanders through charming villages, we’ll cycle underneath shade of characteristic old olive trees and traverse endless cultivated vineyards. We adjust our speed to the island pace, siga, siga (slow, slow) we simply take it easy. Of course, we’ll stop often and I will tell you about Zakynthian life, its interesting history and its amazing flora and fauna.
Halfway, we’ll have a break at a traditional village and here we could enjoy a chilled Greek coffee (frappé) with some local sweets (pastelli and mandelato). We continue zigzagging over hidden narrow roads and do not expect any traffic, besides chicken and sheep blocking our path. Along our way we’ll be visiting an olive press, an old church, meeting the locals and enjoying the lush greenness of the islands country side.
So, hop on, join me for an adventure, off the beaten track, and discover the secrets of Zakynthos.

Let me share my passion for my island in a personal and honest fashion. If I’m not out and about with visitors, I can be found hiking and cycling discovering every nook and cranny. My home Zakynthos is an amazing island, there’s so much to see and to explore. Let me show you why Zakynthos is affectionately called the Flower of the East, let me show you why I’d never want to leave this green paradise. By going on foot or bike, we'll be able to visit places no coach will reach. Join me on an adventure, meet the locals, making friends and discover true Zakynthos!

Where you'll be
Zakynthos is called Flower of the East and no wonder. We will cycle through olive groves & vineyards. I will tell you all about Zakynthian life, its interesting history and its amazing flora and fauna. We will stop at a small cafe in the village of Macherado and have a nice Frappe (cold coffee)

If you stay for a week at Zakinthos, going on this bike tour for a few hours is a very nice thing to do. I enjoyed very much the surroundings in another, very pleasant way. Jeroen just started with this tour but comes across as a well experienced guide. Both Jeroen and the tour are very easy going and in between he explains a bit on the surroundings. Would truly recommend!!
