What you'll do

We meet in the lobby of the Mills House Hotel; walk to the historic Gibbes Museum to view the permanent collections and the current show at Charleston's first Art Gallery/Museum. We then stroll to the city's Waterfront Gallery for a visit to the two floors of Charleston's newest public gallery. A short drive takes us to the College of Charleston. We enter the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art after enjoying a stroll through the College Campus.
Once finished viewing the city's finest public showcases of art we visit the home of Peggy Howe for a tour of her studio/gallery and enjoy hors d'oeuvres overlooking the beautiful and wild marsh of the Low country.
Other things to note
There will be considerable walking during our artistic hiatus; a comfortable pair of walking shoes is a necessity.
Transportation will be provided from the City Gallery to the Halsey and the Halsey to the Howe Studio/Gallery and return.
