What you'll do

We will pick you up from Cooke City, MT in the morning where you will hop on a snowmobile as a passenger and we'll travel 3 miles outside of town and up the mountain to our luxurious lodge that we call 'The Roost'. The views of the mountain ranges from the Roost are outrageous and will be nothing like anything you have seen before. We will have breakfast and get a briefing on the days activities and cover avalanche education, rescue techniques, and passenger snowmobile riding tips and techniques. From there, we rotate through our guests for the day and take you on two of our staple untracked powder runs which are about 1300' vertical ft of skiing in some of the best powder snow the northern Rockies has to offer. Our strategic locations on the mountain have majestic vistas that are mesmerizing. Your decent down the ski run with our professional guides will be one to remember. It gets deep so bring your fat skis or powder board. We'll have a BBQ lunch at the lodge for you and when you are not skiing, you can relax inside the lodge or on the huge deck and have a beverage and take in the views! At the end of the day we will all ski back to town. Check out our video at www.roostops.com to get an idea of the experience. You will get only 2(two) powder runs of around 1300 vertical ft. If you haven't tried this type of snowmobile backcountry skiing, this experience is for you!
