What you'll do

Sign up for Chicago Art Studio Tours and I’ll show you a part of our city that most visitors don't see... That is, the working studios of some talented, creative folks that make Chicago so beautiful! I offer this unique, custom-curated experience so that you may get an intimate look at what it means to be an artist living and working in Chicago. We will visit the studios of five artists. This experience is 2-3 hours. Depending on the artists' work schedules, you may be able to meet the artists during the tour. We will spend time viewing studio work, work spaces and/or galleries or public art when applicable, current works-in-progress as well as learning about each artist and their medium of choice. Because some if not all of the tour will take place in the artists’ personal work spaces which may contain never-before-seen works in progress, no photography is allowed within the studios. Once you have committed to a tour date, you may make a request for a certain artist, art style or medium of art. I cannot guarantee that I will fulfill particular requests but I will do my best. Please note: Although AirBnb requires this listing to indicate a medium (ex: painting, sculpture, etc) this tour may include a various number of styles and mediums.
Other things to note
Enjoy the tour! Please keep an open mind and remember that art is subjective. Be courteous and respectful as we will be entering the personal studio spaces of working artists who have allowed us entry. No photography is allowed within the studio spaces.

Where you'll be

Since each tour is custom curated, specific places will vary. Due to my personal connections and experience in the arts, we’ll have access to the work spaces of several Chicago-based artists, and guests will have the opportunity to view both finished pieces as well as works-in-progress. The spaces will include stand-alone studios and/or art center spaces, galleries and, at times, public art and may include multiple (Chicago-based) locales.
