What you'll do
Coronavirus update: Due to safety measures in our country, it is recommended that we wear masks and keep distance of 1,5 m.
Note that we will NOT go in the buildings.
In this unique experience, we will explore the international organizations located in Geneva. You might have already seen most of them in media and this will be an opportunity for you to see and feel them with your own senses.
Geneva is the home to about 3000 international families, working in International NGOs (non-government organizations). United Nations, ITU (International Technology Union), UNESCO, Red Cross, ILO (International Labor Office), WHO (World Health Organization) are only some of the organizations we will explore.
All your answers will be answered by a local. Together we will hunt the buildings one by one, search for our country flags, hear the stories behind those organizations, examine the buildings' architectural styles, learn to connect them with real-life, and understand the purpose of their existence.
Ariana Museum and a coffee break at the Red Cross or Ariana Museum will be the bonus of the tour.
Let's explore this area together. At the end of the tour, you will love those buildings and organizations. We are so lucky and thankful that Geneva was chosen to be the center of life.
If you cannot find a date or time that suits you, please contact me.

Esra is kind and understanding (we arrived late). But this experience is really OVERPRICED. The tour does not correspond to the description: Esra promotes a tour guided by an architect but she doesn't have deep knowledge about the history of the local architecture. We did two excellent city tours in Geneva in the last months for almost half of the price of this tour. But this is the only city tour that is focused on international organisations, so we were very excited about it. This tour might be good enough if you are looking for a nice and simple walk with basic info. But if, like us, you live here in Geneva and/or you are familiar with the world of international organisations you will find that this tour lacks depth. Also, it needs to be spiced up! There is a lack of spark, fun, secret/unknown stories or to be linked to current international news. We all take a tour to learn and to have fun. We hope Esra could work harder on this tour and improve it - because the idea of having a tour in Geneva focused on international organisations is really good.

I had a very great time with Esra! She is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the topic. I learned a lot about Geneva and Switzerland through our conversation. I would definitely recommend this tour to people first time visiting Geneva!
