About Alpha Institute
The Alpha Institute, formerly Alpha Boys School, has provided educational and social services to at-risk youth for almost 150 years. The music program is where some of Jamaica's most accomplished musicians got their start, from jazz to ska to reggae. According to the Telegraph in the UK, Alpha "helped release the spirit of one of the most musical islands in the world."
This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to Alpha Institute. .
What we’ll do
This experience offers visitors the special opportunity to play reggae music with alumni of the renowned Alpha Institute on the school campus. You’ll get the real feel for the music from those who have lived it. We’ll walk the grounds of the school, see each of the training areas offered, and meet current students.
