What you'll do

Let's immerse yourself in Ayutthaya, where you'll discover the grand history of Thailand's former capital city from Bangkok.

**FREE Pick Up & Drop Off from your accommodation, Travel Insurance and Essential travel kits**
*FREE upgrade to PRIVATE tour, just inbox us! (We follow Airbnb’s safety guidelines strictly as your safety is our #1 priority)

At Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, admire the beautiful rows of Buddha statues and towering pagodas as I walk you through its fascinating history.

Then, it's onto Wat Mahathat, where you will see the famous Buddha head wrapped in a Bodhi tree and discover the tragedy behind it.

After a delicious local lunch, it's time to head to Wat Phra Si Sanphet, which was the royal palace of the first king of Ayutthaya, King U-Thong. There, you will find three impressive pagodas standing tall.

Explore the rest of the Ayutthaya Historical Park walking with an expert, and truly gain an understanding of the rise and fall of the Ayutthaya Kingdom.

To have a completed view about Kingdom of Thailand, I would recommend "Bangkok Historical Walk" that my co-host will reveal Thai history and help connect the story from Ayutthaya period for you. Check this tour below :)

Highly recommended :) Boat was very kind and helpful, and the trip was perfect and flexible to see around the city and beautiful temples in one day ! As he explained many things during the tour, it was very meaningful for me to see the sites, knowing the background of the old history, religions, architecture and Thai culture at the same time. Thank you so much :)

We had been really wanting to visit Ayutthaya for a while but there is just so much to see it was a little overwhelming. Our guide Boat changed all that! He was WONDERFUL! He took care of us all day with water and getting the entry tickets arranged. Boat showed us multiple places and started the day walking us through an active temple, explained a lot about Thai Buddhisim, and Thai customs. Armed with this new information we were really able to appreciate and put into context what we were seeing throughout the rest of the day. This was an amazing experience in which I learned so much about Buddhism, Ayutthaya, and Thailand itself. I reccomend this tour to anybody thinking of going to Ayutthaya.

Great experience and great host! Chalida gave us a grand tour and showed us interesting locations and great places to eat! I recommend drinking lots of water. Thailand is very humid and if you’re not properly hydrated you will easily get dehydrated. Bring an umbrella for the sun and a good pair of walking shoes. Wear loose fitting clothing that is breathable and wicks away moisture. It was very hot!!! Enjoy!

Ayutthaya was a beautiful and fascinating place, made more so by the guide. He explained so much about the temples and the religious/historical meanings behind why they’re built in certain ways, which I would never have known if I’d gone on my own. My host was Kittichai and he was brilliant - knew loads of the history, was really friendly and accommodating. I’d highly recommend this tour!

Great Ayutthaya experience. I don’t like sightseeing in large groups and I definitely couldn’t have pulled this off on my own, so the small group experience was perfect. Jariya was an excellent guide- on time, very knowledgeable, funny and always making sure we were hydrated!
