What you'll do

Sumo morning training is sometimes
change depending on the physical condition of the sumo wrestler. It might be shorter or lighter than usual. Sumo is a ritual, not a show.
It will bother you, but please understand that it is a sacred national sport.

★★Two days before or the day before, suddenly recruitment of experience participation starts. Please check my calendar page or Instagram and don't miss a chance!★★

Let's meet at Kiyosumi-shirakawa station (Metro Hanzomon line or Oedo line) .

Please go to the toilet at the station(you can't use the stable's toilet, basically). After everyone gathers, I will tell you what to watch out for watch sumo training. We walk to the stable. There is prohibited from eating (also gum, candy) , drinking, talking and using mobile phones. Watch training for about 1.5 hours. No chairs and sits directly on the floor. It ’s a little difficult because you can’t stand or stretch.
If you're lucky, you can take a photo with the wrestler after you're done
( Basically not included in the plan).
Then go back to the station together.

During the season of infection, you may have to disinfect your hands with alcohol or have a mask.

If you do not follow the rules, you must leave. It is an early meeting in the morning on the day. Go to bed early the day before and drink moderately :-)
Other things to note
If you have a cold or an infectious disease on the day, please cancel your participation. I am very sorry, but thank you for understanding because it is for the health of wrestlers. Sumo is a sacred and serious sport. Please understand that there are various annoying rule explanations.

Are you interested in Sumo?
As you know, Sumo is a Japanese national sport. It is very sacred and most powerful. It's hard to book the matches, so let's go to see the Sumo training at a stable!
You can see it closer than the matches and you will feel the sound of the fight and the passion of the wrestlers.
Recently, only Japanese speakers can enter to the stable (Unfortunately, I heard that there were some problems in the past). Moreover, You need to join that organization and pay the participation fee to watch practice.
Therefore, I will do them and accompany with you.

I have watched Sumo with my father since I was a kid. I can tell you the strict rules of the visit and what is happen during a practice in advance!

Where you'll be

Sumo stable at Kiyosumi-shirakawa town. Kiyosumi-shirakawa town has four Sumo stables. If you walk around the town, you might see some Sumo wrestlers. If the training is finished earlier, I will take you to the Japanese garden nearby if you like. It is quiet and so beautiful.

I didn't expect to have such a wonderful experience on my trip. And It's much better than expected. Sumo wrestlers were strong and sooo cool. They were designed to win. Alisa's guide was perfect and helpful. The pre-explanation, and explanation during the training was silent. She is a gentle and polite. It was cheeper I expected. Indeed, it is recommended!!!
