What you'll do

I pick you up at the meeting point and drive you to Evora, UNESCO World Heritage since 1986, to taste a local sweet with an espresso, followed by a walking tour in the old streets inside the medieval walls, visiting the Roman Temple build BC in honor to Augusto Emperor. From here, let’s continue to the unique Capela dos Ossos (Bones Chapel) build on the 18th Century where the inside walls are all cover by human bones. After this creepy visit will be time for lunch.

In the afternoon, time to visit and taste the wines/olive oils at Adega Cartuxa accompanied with ham and local bread. The Cartuxa brand is the principal activity of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation and the umbrella brand of the Cartuxa Winery. The logo identifies wines such as EA, Foral de Évora, Cartuxa, Scala Coeli and the legendary Pêra-Manca, as well as the olive oils EA and Cartuxa Gourmet.

Excellence, quality and individuality in a style of its own, is what marks the difference and defines a classic Alentejo. The effort Fundação Eugénio de Almeida Foundation has poured into creating excellent products has been recognized over the years with various prizes.

Time to leave Evora and the Alentejo region to return to Lisboa.
Other things to note
