My name is Guy. I've acted as a mountain guide for the Mont-Tremblant Backcountry Festival since 2014, I initiate beginners to alpine ski touring, I am a volunteer InfoSki (mountain guide) at the Mont-Tremblant Resort for 6 years, I am certified in first aid and have been an expert skier for more than 40 years. What we’ll do

The backcountry ski experience is first and foremost, getting the proper gear. We'll make it easy for you and provide the proper boots, skis, skins and poles you need. And when you confirm your adventure, I'll tell exactly what to wear and bring. We'll start off with the basics, adjusting the boots to the bindings, the proper use of the bindings and installing the skins. A short ascent on easy…

Dressing properly is important. Do not overdress. Have winter garments that you wear as layers (base, intermediate and outerwear) Backcrountry skiing is a demanding sport and you will need to adapt how to dress based on the temperature

Where you'll be

Climbing the backcountry trails of Mont-Tremblant leads us to a wide range of remarkable points of view of the wild, the mountains and Lake Tremblant. The ascent is gradual, so you build confidence from the start. After 1 km or so, we dive into the wilderness in a fabulous winter wonderland. The view of the valley from the ridge as we reach the summit is simply breathtaking.
