What you'll do

I will pick you up at your B&B in a classic American car and drive towards Vinales having a half way coffee stop and then continue our countryside journey surrounded by oxen, wooden houses and old Russian tractors.
Once in Vinales I will take you first and foremost to a tobacco plantation and farm where according to this humble host you will taste the best hand rolled cigars in the Valley. Here you will learn the process in real time and even try an authentic hand rolled cigar (included). Some cigars smokers like to combine it with honey, rum or coffee. Here you can define your own smoking preferences with the professionals.
After this informational and demonstrative lesson you can submerse in an exiting horse back riding adventure through the valley guided by a horseman and surrounded everywhere by local farmers and tobacco plantations.
Then we will visit the Indian’s Cave with its underground river that can be sailed in a little boat around stalagmites and stalactites.
Next stop will be a local house turned into a restaurant where we will be trying the home made food for lunch after which we carry on to the Prehistorical Mural, literally a painting on a mountain symbolizing the times before time.
And finally, the farewell Vinales moment will be the view from the Valley at Los Jasmines hotel, undoubtedly the best photo place
Other things to note
I need at least two guests to offer this experience, but if you travel solo just write me a message and I will find a way to have you "Smoking".

You should bring cash money in case you want to buy some cigars, rum or coffee. Never rely on credit cards in Cuba as connectivity can be an issue.

I’ve been driving people in tours around my beautiful country for more than 5 years showing always things the way they are, not made up places for tourist but the reality of a third world country that seems to be stopped in time but with a unique charm.

I’ve been smoking cigars from different zones in Cuba for more than 10 years, tasting and comparing their flavors, strengths and brands. I’ve learned both the industrial process at the big factories in Havana, and the Vinales farmers way to produce cigars. By bringing you in my experience I want to show the simple people behind the best cigars in the world, their ways, their horses, their food and what they are best at: CIGARS.

This was a great experience. You can tell that Cesar really loves what he does. Loved learning about the cigars. This is a pretty far trip from Old Havana so I recommend packing things that keep you comfortable (water, snacks, sweater). We met other folks who we plan to stay in touch with. Best part was lunch! It was my best meal in Cuba!

Cesar made this a great experience, he was very knowledgeable and took my group to the best spots in Viñales. He was also flexible and avoided the larger tour groups so we wouldn’t have long wait times which I liked a lot. The restaurant he took us to had some of the best food that I had during my stay in Cuba. Everything you need for a memorable trip to Viñales is provided in this experience. Would definitely book another experience with Cesar
