What you'll do

Ciao! Are you visiting Florence for the first time? If the answer is yes this is the perfect visit for you. I'll show you the most important places of the city walking trough its main roads and crossing its ancient and artistic piazzas!

We will start our visit in the square of Santa Maria Novella, famous for a tradition now forgotten, the race with chariots. We will also admire the beautiful facade of the church, work of the genius of Leon Battista Alberti.

Our visit continues in the religious centre of the city, cathedral square, the famous cathedral surmounted by the majestic dome, by Filippo Brunelleschi.

We will then continue towards the square which is still today the political centre of Florence, Piazza della Signoria. But before we get there we will visit the small church of Orsanmichele, which today houses some of the most beautiful statues of artists like Donatello and Verrocchio.

In Piazza della Signoria, in the shadow of the imposing Palazzo Vecchio you will be able to admire statues like the Neptune and the David.

The last part of our itinerary will be dedicated to Ponte Vecchio and to the river above it, the Arno. The river that was, in the centuries, luck and misfortune of Florence.

The time of the visit doesn't fit with your schedule? No worries, just contact me and we'll arrange for a different one, or for any other information you might need.
Other things to note
No entrance fees will be needed, as we will not visit museums on this visit except Orsanmichele which is free of charge. A water bottle could be useful to you, otherwise you can buy a bottle in the bars of the city center.

Where you'll be

We will visit Orsanmichele Church which houses very beautiful masterpieces made by artists such as Donatello and Verrocchio, master of Leonardo da Vinci.

The inyard of Palazzo Vecchio is one of the best examples of grotesque decoration we have in Florence and we are able nowadays to admire in all its beauty.

Excellent guide !

Meeting Vincenzo was quite an experience itself. Then walking with him around Florence was outstanding. He is very knowledgeable on Florence topics and general culture. As a photographer I really appreciate his dedication and patience. He also gave us extra time that was really nice. Recommendations at the end of the tour was another highlight. Thanks Vincenzo, we will recommend your tour to other friends.
