What you'll do

Please, contact me if you don't see availability for your date, this experience is often available upon request.

Are you looking for a personalized day trip to avoid the crowds and connect with nature?

Here’s what we’ll do:

We'll travel to the Reykjanes Penninsula, a NESCO Global Geopark and part of the European and Global Geopark network. It is close from Reykjavik and great day trip if you have limited time or time to spare, even just on a stopover for a day as its close by the airport. Reykjanes Peninsula is perhaps one of the most underrated places in Iceland.

The landscape is rough and a bit alien looking, Reykjanes has great lava fields covered in moss, old craters, fissures, lakes and bubbling geothermal mud pools. By the sea we'll find a surreal coastline with amazing rock formations, particularly spectacular when the wind is blowing and the sea violently hammers upon the rocks, wave after wave.

All these places are usually sparse with people, allowing you some space and time with nature.

Reykjanes is a hidden volcanic gem not to be missed!

- Some of the tour highlights -

Valahnúkamöl sea stacks
Reykjanes Lighthouse
Gunnuhver
Brimketill lava rock pool
The bridge between continents
Krisuvikurberg Cliffs
The great lava fields
Krýsuvík
Kleifarvatn lake
Grænavatn
Sandvik

And many more secret spots along the way!
Other things to note
Please be aware! The minimum number of participants for this experience is two.

I will always try to adapt the itinerary to the conditions, weather and time of the year, so the experience will remain equally beautiful and safe. In Iceland the weather can change quickly so remember to be prepared!

Dani was a wonderful host, who navigated some pretty slippery roads with great care to take us to awesome locations in inclement weather. A great photographer and person with cool insight into all the spots to go, I'd highly recommend his experience. :)

This was an awe inspiring experience! We weren’t able to do the ring road as we had planned due to bad weather conditions but we found Dani’s experience and it’s an awesome selection of natural beauty all so close to Rejkavík. We certainly got our fill of the natural landscape and it was stunning in all its winter glory. Dani is an awesome host and all round cool guy. He is so passionate about the beauty of Iceland and having the small trip experience made is so comfortable. Plus he has the best taste in music so the car trip was as much a highlight as the views!
