What you'll do

We invite you to join us in the trip to the countryside of Saint Petersburg. You will head to a magnificent place situated on the shore of a beautiful frozen lake in the woods. When you arrive, you will be welcomed by a kayur (a professional dog-sled leader) who himself took part in the expedition trips to the Arctic in the 21st century. You will get to know the exciting history of huskies and true-to-life stories about hardships of polar explorers.
After that you will finally meet the dogs. This place is not a zoo: it's a place where dogs are respected, and where they'll be happy to share their love with you. They will take you for a ride in a snowy forest for about 25 minutes. Other activites will be available: tubing from a hill or going for a walk along the shore of a lake.

As soon as you finish with all the activities, you will have a traditional Russian lunch in an authentic Russian grill-house where you will be shown the process of cooking “shashliks in tandoor” – Russian meat sticks put in a special oven. You will also have a chance to taste a typical Russian fish soup “uha”, home-made spiced hot wine and some sweets.

Finally, we only welcome you to take photos with huskies, kayurs and picturesque snow-covered woods that you will find only here, in the North of Russia. After all this, we'll go back to the city.
Other things to note
You'll spend a day outside of St. Petersburg, most of the time outdoor. As it will be winter, dress warm to enjoy the beauty of the nature.

With my friend Pavel, we proposed to a local agency to develop a new part of their business : propose genuine local experiences to tourists in Russia. Because tourism is changing, and people are looking for unique memories, we wanted to propose off-the-beaten-track experiences. I'm from France, and I live in Russia for 5 years now, and Pavel is a native of Moscow. We combined our knowledge of what people are looking for when coming in Russia, and what this country has to offer. Working in the tourism industry for 5+ years, Pavel has the best contact list in both Moscow and St. Petersburg. Thanks to all this, we are now able to propose you tours to hidden husky kennels, to organize traditional Russian picnics in the nature, to invite you for French-Russian dinners in our home, or to visit St. Petersburg in a kayak.

Where you'll be

We'll bring you to one of the best Husky-kennel, located around 50km from St. Petersburg. This place, located in the middle of the nature, in a peaceful area on the shore of a lake; it's a real snow paradise in the winter.
In this kennel, more than 30 huskies are living. They have space to run and use their energy as they need.
