My name is Andy and I'm a passionate runner and history enthusiast. I have completed several marathons and have a degree in Modern European History.

I'm bringing these two interests together to create a unique sightrunning tour around Canterbury's best sights.

I aim to create a supportive group run environment for all levels of runners, and I map out routes that share the iconic and lesser known sights to remove any stress of running alone and getting lost in a new city!

Where you'll be

We'll meet outside the Cathedral entrance by the War Memorial on Butter Market, before running along the city walls to the four corners of the city and beyond.

Absolutely loved these runs and highly recommend them. I needed the motivation to get out and run and was delighted to be a tourist in my own city. Andy planned great routes that I wouldn't have found on my own. I learned so much in a safe and fun way - and also improved my 5k time!

This was a great experience. I live just outside Canterbury so wasn’t sure how much I would get from it, beyond a nice run, but it is such a great way to see the city. Andy knew that I knew Canterbury so he altered the tour accordingly, and we ran through streets and areas I hadn’t seen before, as well as through the more famous historic parts. He is really good company and shares his knowledge in an easy going way - I learned loads but it didn’t feel like a dry history tour. I totally recommend this as a great way to explore this beautiful, historic city.

What a wonderful way to see Canterbury and Andy is a fantastic guide, taking you to the little known spots as well as the big highlights. He set a pace that suited us and told us some wonderful stories about the history of Canterbury and his own history. Honestly, it’s one of the best tours we’ve done. We’d do it all again. We can highly recommend these running tours.

Excellent tour combining cardio, sightseeing and history highlights. What better way to start your day than in your running gear and ready to discover new sites when the city is still quiet? I loved the fact that in 1 hour we could cover an extensive area and made it all the way to the top of the mound in the Dane John Gardens park after running on the city wall. Andy was extremely professional and informative, and maintained a pace which was comfortable for me. I came back energized and can’t recommend enough this tour. Thanks for such an amazing experience!

I highly recommend this tour! What a great and unique way to see the gorgeous streets of Canterbury. Andy made it even more special with his wonderful storytelling style. He really brought the city to life for us. He leads the group at a "Canterbury pace" but you will need to do the tour to find out what that is!
