We had a wonderful tour with Mohammed. He is a great guide and an a knowledgeable Egyptologist with lots of great stories. He answered all our questions and kept us engaged the entire day. We tried lots of new food and refreshments. Ask him about the Egyptian whisky and beer :) we would totally tour with Mohammed again and highly recommend this experience. You won’t be disappointed!

Mohamed is a wonderful guide, deeply knowledgeable and with engaging storytelling style. He respected our request to avoid any shopping and also picked less crowded routs, which we appreciated greatly. He introduced us to great local food and beverages, from the restaurants/cafes where locals would go - something I always look for in a new country. Mohamed’s tour is flexible and all costs (except for tips) are discussed in advance. My only advice would be if you are attempting to go for a camel or horse ride make sure you are riding a healthy, strong animal. While most horses seemed fine and well taken care of, some camels that I saw around were skinny and almost without fur. We did a two-hour camel ride which was a great experience but in the end i was sad to discover that my camel had a sore on his face because of the ropes. The camel guide (not Mohamed) said he would treat the issue, which I really want to believe. That said, overall impression was great and we would recommend Mohamed to anyone in need of a guide in Cairo.
