What you'll do

Update: We are OPEN and SAFE.

La Jolla Bay is a Marine Protected Area that is home to a thriving ecosystem that boasts a high concentration of sea life, has a natural boat launch, which allows safe ocean entry year round, and is famous for its Sea Caves and Marine Reserve.

No experience is required. Great for all skill levels. Your guide will kick things off with a paddle tutorial on the beach. If surf exists we will help push your kayak through any breakers.

As we paddle through La Jolla’s Marine Reserve keep an eye out for Seals, Sea Lions, Sea Turtles, Pelicans, Dolphin and Gray whales in the fall/winter. Note: We cannot guarantee sea life.

If conditions are safe we will help guide your kayak into Emerald Cave. If it's not safe to enter Emerald Cave we will still paddle out & explore La Jolla's Marine Reserve. Note: if not safe we will not enter Emerald Cave, we don't cancel if the cave isn't safe and spend about a minute inside.

La Jolla Bay is an Uncontrollable Environment. Please come enjoy this place we love knowing each day is different than the last.

During COVID we have checked some people in outside. YOU DO NOT need to EVER enter our shop. Please message me beforehand and we will check you in outside.

Satisfaction Guarantee. Do not feel this was a 5 star trip, message me.

Once geared up it's a quick walk to the beach. There is a 12% City Tax, which helps SD hire more lifeguards. Excellent experience! The crew was wonderful and funny. Good work out to get your day going in a beautiful location. Even on a chillier, overcast day it was so much fun!

I had a great time kayaking in La Jolla with them. All the staff is lovely and welcoming. I came from the East Coast to visit. Danielle and Patrick were the tour guides for our group, they were very helpful and informative. I got a chance to dive in the waters, an experience I will forever have in my heart. Thanks Everyday California. I recommend this place 10/10. 😊

Alex was a great guide and everyone inside the Everyday California shop were very nice. Just the luck that it was a bit windy and chilly, so couldn’t kayak into the caves. $10 to rent a wetsuit is highly recommended. Overall, this was still a great experience as I’ve never done it before, and would do this again!

Sophie and Dylan were so amazing! They went above and beyond explaining the caves and the areas we were kayaking in! They were so knowledgeable and fun to be around! We saw dolphins, sea lions, jellyfish, and almost saw a whale (he wasn’t directly by us). But overall such an amazing experience! Especially for the price, just WOW! We will definitely be back here again!! Thank you!

This was my first time booking an activity via air bnb, very easy and reasonable pricing! Communication was simple and fast replies. The acitivy itself was amazing and beautiful. Note: I discovered I get sea sickness... so yeahhhh. Make sure you take some motion sickness pills (they even sell it). Besides that, the staff and tour was amazing! You will get wet and you'll have fun :) I highly recommend them if you're planning to kayak in San Diego.

Had such a great time out on the water! I’ve never been kayaking in the ocean so I was a little nervous, but the two guides made it so easy to get out into the ocean and back onto shore. Just listen to what they have to say and it will be smooth. Was interesting to learn about the history of La Jolla and the caves.
