My name is Jasen. Born and raised here on Maui, I’m lucky to call this special place my home. The ocean is my playground. I grew up snorkeling, fishing, diving, paddling canoes, surfing, and sailing. My favorite memories as a child were spent whale watching with my family. I serve my community as a Lifeguard here on Maui. I work and train along side some of the best watermen/women in the world…

What we’ll do

Winter in Hawai’i is the start of our Whale Season. The arrival of the Humpback Whale is a highly anticipated event here in Hawai’i. The waters surrounding the Hawaiian Islands of Maui, Molokai, Lana’i and Kaho’olawe provide one of the most important habitats for Humpback Whales as they swim non-stop from Alaska and arrive in late November and stay through April. Everything you bring with you will get wet. Get everyone Ocean Ready at the car. Apply Reef Safe sunscreen and dress down to your lightest layer. Bring footwear, a bottle of water, a hat and sunglasses.

Where you'll be

We begin our morning in the beautiful Makena Bay. From the water we can see the sunrise from Mt. Haleakala, Maui’s famous shield volcano. The surrounding islands of Lana’i, Kaho’olawe, and Molokini crater create the perfect sanctuary for nursing Humpback whales during the winter months.

Any experience can be canceled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.
