What you'll do

We will meet at a coffee shop near Wall Street where we will discuss New York City's early development as a Dutch trading post. Next, we will walk around the narrow streets of the Financial District for about 45 minutes where we will visit Battery Park, Bowling Green (bull statue), Stone Street, Wall Street, and more. Next, we will take the subway a few stops north to Christopher Street in the West Village. Here, we will walk "off the grid" through the neighborhood's tangled web of streets for 45 minutes. Sites in the West Village include 19th-century wood-frame houses, the apartment from "Friends", St. Luke in the Fields Church, and Washington Square Park. Next, we will stop for lunch and coffee near NYU. We finish off the tour by exploring Midtown via Broadway! We will walk along the famous boulevard for about an hour seeing NYC's iconic squares and buildings including Union Square, Madison Square Park, the Flatiron Building, 34th Street Macy's, Empire State Building, and Times Square. We will conclude the tour at the TKTS Stairs in Times Square where you can buy discounted tickets for a Broadway Play or continue your journey up to Central Park.
