What you'll do

IF YOU DO NOT SEE AVAILABILITY FOR YOUR PREFERRED DATE, PLEASE CONTACT - THERE MAY STILL BE AVAILABLE TRIPS. We will meet at the trailhead where I will be prepared with all of the equipment and gear needed to enjoy our canoeing excursion. Before we hit the water I will teach a quick lesson on how to properly and safely use the equipment, introduce paddle strokes, and talk about what protocol to follow in case of an emergency. This lesson will properly prepare us for a safe and enjoyable adventure. Next we will put our canoes in the water and start paddling! We will paddle on flat water for about 3 hours (with scenic stops for snacks and water included) to our lunch spot - the "Devil's Cascade" waterfall! We will take some time to enjoy the scenery and eat a picnic lunch before beginning our peaceful paddle back to the trailhead. This trip requires us to "portage" our canoes on 2 very short portages. I will be carrying the canoes over the ~.2 mile portages, but you will be required to carry your own food and personal floatation device.
