What you'll do

In light of current events- I’m offering this class in the comfort of your home via viirtual class ! If calendar is still locked contact Syresa Rowland
We meet at our privately owned 1884 farm - like a private Cades Cove in Pigeon Forge. It was actually the first resort in Sevier County!
Class begins inside and informally with each person giving their experience and interest in photography. I ask that each person have a simple knowledge of their camera's menu before arrival. This allows as much time as possible for learning how to use the camera controls in manual setting and practicing hands on.
We will learn about the exposure triangle and how each element works singly and in combination. You practice each element as single settings and then learn how to combine the three for best results in capturing your images.
We then go onto the grounds of our historic 1884 farm and practice, practice, practice.

I am a professional photographer with over 20 years experience. My training is ongoing - based in the beginning from college classes. I have been a member of Ga Professional Photographers Association and Child Photographers International. Each of these organizations hold ongoing training and I have been a part
I have worked as a self employed photographer and also in one of the most stressful industries in high volume wedding photography.
I enjoy not only photography, but nature and people. I have combined these 3 to help others who want to learn to be able to operate their camera out of manual mode and be creative.
I learn using hands on practice. That's the way I teach my class also.

Where you'll be

Internet class due to current events.

Historic Seaton Springs Farm is the first resort in Sevier County. Built on 100 acres in 1884, it now occupies 10 acres and includes two original cabins, a huge cantilever barn, the original house (where class is held), a small lake, and a mountain stream. Gardens are year round and wildlife lives on the peaceful, serene property (also an Airbnb lodging)
We practice by photographing on this very propert

This was a great class to learn how to use the manual mode on our cameras. Syresa welcomed us into her home and taught us what we needed to learn to become better photographers. Highly recommend taking a class with Syresa!
