had a great time! Josue was super nice and went out of his way to show us amazing wildlife (whales, turtles, an iguana, lots of sea birds, and of course tons of fish). it's good to note that the price of the trip doesn't cover snorkel gear rental from the place at the dock (200 pesos/person), but the 4.5 hour trip was still an exceptional value.

Frances and Josue made this experience truly magical! I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing trip out on the ocean, for an opportunity to see incredible wildlife up close, and who wants to see the pristine beaches around the Huatulco nature sanctuary! Frances was extremely responsive and made everything so simple stress-free. We decided to ask to move our trip back a day and she responded almost immediately to our request to go a day later. We went out with her husband Josue and first mate Carlos. It was just myself and my boyfriend so it was like a private tour! We got a delicious breakfast at Cafe Huatulco, the meeting-up location, and Josue did not rush us at all when we took a few extra minutes to enjoy our chilaquiles. We got snorkeling equipment right by the pier. I noticed as we were on our way to meet Josue that the description seems to suggest bringing your own equipment, which we did not have. I was momentarily worried but again Frances answered my message immediately and said Josue had equipment for us. I might suggest letting Frances know if you need equipment because they were able to arrange for us to get equipment paid for prior to our arrival so everything went seamlessly. After we got fitted we got on the boat and headed out to sea! On our way to the first beach, we saw a pod of whales breaching nearby and Josue took us out to watch them before they went tail-up back down into the ocean. A majestic start to the day! We went to two snorkeling spots at two truly spectacular, pristine beaches. Josue pointed out some of the different fish and then let us do our thing! When we were done exploring he brought the boat into shore so it was very easy for us to get back on board. (I appreciated this because I had cut up my legs getting back into a boat on another fishing trip--but this was easy and injury-free!). We stopped at Playa Maguey for lunch and ordered some refreshing micheladas and a shrimp dish cooked in a pineapple. The food was delicious, the view was spectacular, and there were men selling freshly-shucked oysters by the dozen for about $150 pesos. We felt like we were in the true lap of luxury. Josue and Carlos waited on the boat and there was zero rush or zero pressure, even as the 2pm end time approached. When we got back on the boat Josue asked if we wanted to go to yet another snorkeling spot. Even though we really wanted to, we had a long drive ahead of us back to where we were staying, so we had to decline. But I really appreciated the fact that they were totally willing to have us continue our magical experience even far past the scheduled end time. Josue was delightful to chat with, played fun music on the boat, and even arranged for a cab to take us back on our long ride. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone and will certainly be booking again next time we come for a visit!

We had a wonderful time on the water, even though the water was a little rough and our snorkeling tour had been pushed back a day (our original day was too windy/wavy). Unfortunately, Frances was under the weather the day we went, but her captain Alfonso was lovely!

Frances’ experience was a fun adventure that my partner and I would otherwise not have been able to do on our own. In addition to the snorkeling stops, I really appreciated her knowledge about Huatulco’s history and present. I would definitely recommend joining her if you have the chance!

Really enjoyed the day with Frances! The trip felt pretty private - there was only one other couple on board. Frances gave a lot of interesting information about the beaches that we stopped by, which I really appreciated. The snorkeling itself was great as well! A lot to look at, which made the time fly by!
