Overall, unfortunately, this experience felt a little bit lacking. The day before, we received a message asking if we could move our reservation time back two hours—sure. When we arrived at the new time in the meeting spot, Robbie was late (but hadn’t communicated that), so there were us and 4 other couples wandering around aimlessly in the parking lot trying to find the right white van to meet at. After our safety briefing, we were rushed to take a picture and get into the water and swim straight out to a reef area. It was a bit challenging bc the water was choppy that day and we had no “orientation” or ramp-up time to familiarize ourselves with the fins and masks in the water before we were out in the ocean. We didn’t see any turtles (what are ya gonna do, no problem), but otherwise it felt like Robbie was just there to make sure everyone got pictures holding a sea star and then he went off to find turtles. A little more instruction and one-on-one care would have gone a long way.
