What you'll do

I will take you to explore one of the seven wonders of the modern world Chichen Itza in a unique experience. Before we will pass to the center of Valladolid and after knowing the archaeological site I will take you to know an authentic Mayan cenote, beauty of nature full of mysticism. At noon you will enjoy a delicious buffet of regional Mexican food with vegetarian options.

Once in Chichen Itza, we will walk through the observatory, the Temple of the Warriors and the Ball Court. And you will see the legendary Kukulcan Pyramid, also known as El Castillo, from the front, and I will tell you how during the equinox on a clear day, a snake slides down the stairs of the pyramid, which is actually a shadow created by the setting sun . You will live closely the mysteries of acoustics in its architecture, which to date are not fully understood. You will clearly hear a whisper 159 feet (46 meters) away on one of the platforms on the colossal ball court where the Maya played sports.

With this exclusive tour, your visit to Chichen Itza allows you to explore the archeological site in an exclusive and unique way!

We had an absolutely magical day! Rodrigo the guide was just fantastic, had terrific energy and was an encyclopedia of Mayan history. Francisco the driver was also excellent. Valladolid was lovely, the cenote was spectacular and refreshing, the lunch was very good, and Chichen Itza was just undescribably magical --you'll just have to see it for yourself. Having a passionate, knowledgeable tour guide made all of the difference and we were absolutely awestruck by the ruins, even though from the pictures I had seen I didn't expect it to be *that* cool. There was shopping advertised to us on the trip, but we felt no pressure to buy anything. Everyone we encountered was so friendly. We had a spectacular day with Amigo Tours and highly recommend them!

This was one of the worst tours I have had in any city I have visited around the world. We booked the tour in English but our host Daniel spoke 90% in Spanish with a few English words sparsed in between. He was not engaging. He was not knowledgeable about the sites either. He did not explain the history or significance of the sites, but he certainly spent a lot of time trying to sell us different useless souvenirs including a Mayan calendar, a Tequila bottle with our picture on it (which was taken without our permission), an overpriced Mayan souvenir shop & a terrible buffet lunch which was NOT regional Mexican food, it was boiled noodles & frozen vegetables that had been baked. They couldn't even provide some guacamole or simple tacos!!! The tour was booked on Airbnb & instructions said to be PICKED UP at Oasis hotel at 7.10am. So we took a taxi all the way there from our hotel only to find that other guests had been picked directly from their hotels. The tour was so long & most of it was spent on a bus which I understand considering Chichen Itza is so far from Cancun. We could have just driven there & back & avoided the "lunch" & Cenote dip which was extremely overcrowded & life vests were not even provided. So disappointed that an entire day of our trip was taken up by this tour which was terrible. Wish we could get a refund. Save your money & find a shorter, more efficient tour with an experienced guide & READ THE REVIEWS. Wish I could get a refund :(

The Amigo Tours team is awesome. Ruben was an amazing host and guide. He gave excellent information on the bus to the places we would be going and spoke English and Spanish perfectly. For the Chichen Itza tour we had Rodrigo who made our experience so worthwhile and informative. His knowledge and connection of the Mayan history really resonated in the tour. he also has the best photo spots in the game. thank you to everyone it was an amazing time! Highly Recommended!
