What you'll do

Located in Benton, PA at Barakah Heritage Farm.

Meet, pet and cuddle our friendly Fainting goats.

Your host Mickey is a trained anthropologist and experienced tour guide, full of fun facts and funny stories. Upon arrival, after a quick orientation, guests grab a seat cushion (kept safe from mischievous goats) and head for the tour area.

Your tour will either be in the goat pen or the front pasture. Picnic chairs and benches are provided.

Guest will pet and visit with our goats while learning about the breed histories, and what makes our farm approach very unique. Expect to be examined and nibbled by curious adults. Selfies and photos with the herd are encouraged - we are happy to assist. We wrap up your tour with treat feeding (we provide the treats). The goats are VERY enthusiastic and clever; you can expect to be mugged (in a fun way).

We hope you leave with goatie hoof prints on your clothes, and in your heart.

No pets - Please give advance notice of service animals - no RVs/trailers

My husband travels all over the state as a truck truck driver & is always finding unique experiences for us to go on as a family. This experience is hands down my favorite one to date. Carrie was amazing! So thoughtful and made the experience personal by asking us about ourselves. She answered questions with real and knowledgeable answers. Carrie accommodated us last minute and I appreciated that so much as we were in town from 3 hours from home. You should take note that you are supposed to book at least 12 hours in advance for her to plan accordingly for groups. Highly recommend a visit to the farm! All animals were loved and well cared for in their real and natural habitat which was so nice to see.

Barakah farm is an amazing place where the owners take pride in, and respect their animals. They show you how to “read” the animals and interact with them like no one has ever shown me before. This is a great experience that I highly recommend!

We booked this very last minute for our daughters birthday and I’m so happy we did. Everyone is amazing and the ladies went above and beyond to make our daughters experience special. All of us had a wonderful time and will definitely be going back on our next trip up here.

A little sketchy at first with no signs out front of the farm but once you realize your that you’re in the right place it’s all well worth it. Carrie and her “minions” are fantastic! My girlfriend has never riden a horse so I wanted her to be comfortable. Carrie taught us so much about the behavior and expressions of the horse. I have been on several rides including longer trail rides and I still learned a great deal from her. We will be back to continue our lessons for sure. And don’t forget the playtime with goats!!! Only downside to that was trying to leave without my girlfriend trying to sneak one into the car to take home! They were amazing! Overall a very good time with an awesome group of people!!!

My daughters and I enjoyed this experience. The goats were very friendly and came right up to us. Carrie and her staff were very thoughtful and dedicated time to answer questions. We got to carry and cuddle a goat and feed them goodies provided by the host. Expect to see other animal guests :)

If you are at all interested in this interesting breed of goats, book this experience. Carrie was so knowledgeable & shared her information in an enjoyable way. I got to hold a baby goat in my lab, feed them treats & willingly invited a baby goat to stand on my back! The goats really have personalities & it was a fun outside the box activity for me! The animals are treated very well too which was important to me.
