We'll depart in a safe and comfortable boat from Barra da Tijuca, the Olympic host neighborhood in the 2016 games and sail through the Quebra Mar channel where Praia dos Amores is, along the beautiful coast of Barra and seeing the natural beauty of this region.
We'll first pass by the Joatinga area with its cool mansions along the exclusive and hidden Joatinga beach ingrown between the mountains and we will follow the Joá coast bordering the exuberance of Gávea Rock, the world's largest stone facing the sea. We will also pass by the beach of São Conrado where the Asa Delta flight ramp is. This is considered the best urban beach ramp in existence and it is inside the Tijuca Forest, 2nd largest reserve within a city in the world.
You can catch sight of the Rocinha slum with the Corcovado hill and the statue of Christ the Redeemer in the background and also the Niemeyer Avenue, a Formula 1 racing area at the beginning of the century.
From there we will go out to sea and in 20 mins we will reach the 7 wonderful islands of the Cagarras Archipelago in front of Ipanema Beach, Leblon and Copacabana. From there we will see all the mountains of Rio, such as the 2 Brothers Hill, the Sugar Loaf and Niterói mountain chains. You may also view the Serra do Mar in Petrópolis and Teresópolis.
The biggest surprise is the proximity of the beauty of the islands and their usually translucent waters where we stop to swim and enjoy the peace and natural harmony of the place with free use of mask and snorkel.
