Botanist and bioregional herbalist
Hi, I’m Christina, a desert native, educator, botanist, and bioregional herbalist. I founded Every Leaf Speaks Botanical Studies, offering plant-based education in the Mojave and Sonoran-Colorado Deserts. I specialize in field botany, ecology, Traditional Western Herbalism, and also rescue cats, do TNR, and am an environmental activist.

Warm jacket, Sunscreen, 1 - 2 LITERS OF WATER PER PERSON, Snacks or a light lunch. We do not have a lunch break but folks are welcomed to snack during the experience and during the plant tea portion of the hike., Closed toed hiking shoes or boots. No sandals or hiking sandals this is to prevent the possible fallen cactus spines from getting you., Trekking poles (not needed but if you prefer), Please check the weather before and day of the hike for Pioneertown, This hike will take place at a higher elevation and is cooler than Joshua Tree..
