What you'll do
Come enjoy a true small-scale farm experience! We will start the day by feeding our free-range chickens, including our friendly rooster, Saba. Then we will teach you how to milk a goat like a pro. Next, we will take you down to our organic garden, where you can help harvest some ingredients for breakfast. Finally, we will head up to the farm house after the experience, where you may join us for a locally-sourced breakfast made from our fresh farm products including garden vegetables, coffee roasted on-site, and freshly baked bread. This experience will connect you intimately with the nature and animals around you, proving a true farm-to-table experience.
This small-scale permaculture farm and venue of 5 acres has been operating outside of San Luis Obispo for over 6 years, although my partner and I recently started managing the farm and garden and adopting the traditions. We are here to demonstrate what the farmers here have done for years of milking goats, growing organic fruits and vegetables, caring for chickens, citizen ecology, and making delicious meals from these local products. We enjoy making goat cheese, baking fresh bread, roasting coffee beans, and learning new native wild food recipes. We are always growing in knowledge and as a farm to create spaces for regenerative farming, forest garden models, native planting, and sustainability education.
