What you'll do

We'll enjoy appropriately socially-distanced & healthy exercise among the desert's native plants, cacti, and animals. And we'll make it simple, safe & fun! We'll guide you on a hike along one of the best local trails in Palm Springs. We'll keep ourselves properly spaced apart between hikers, and we'll tailor our hike to the fitness level and experience of the group. (Yes, face masks will be required.) You'll acquire a new appreciation for Palm Springs as we gain a bit of elevation and see the whole Coachella Valley spread out before us. We've hiked all of the local trails many times, and we know which ones are the best when it comes to amazing views, easy access, and that iconic desert experience. And we'll take plenty of photos and videos along the way. So join us and discover why there's more to love about Palm Springs than just martinis and that cool mid-century vibe. (By the way, if you don't see a hike already scheduled for a date that works from you, send us a note and we can see if we're available that day!)
Other things to note
Please make sure to wear sunscreen, sturdy sneakers or hiking shoes, and sunglasses. And bringing plenty of water is a must. A camera, hat, and binoculars if you have them are also recommended. And please note that recently enacted City of Palm Springs rules now prohibit dogs on the trails.

Where you'll be

We'll hike one of the best local trails in Palm Springs that, after lots of experience, we've rated as the best of the best. It's particularly great for soaking up the serenity of the desert landscape and drinking in some spectacular panoramic views. We'll be walking among the diverse cacti and other native plants. And if we're lucky, we may even spot bighorn sheep along the way!

My friends and I were blown away by the whole experience provided David and Rene. They can give you great support, knowledge and tips about the whole coachella valley. They will be there for you if you are slower than the group you're with or faster than.

I loved this hike, it started on time. Information was relevant and entertaining. The guide even had extra water and snacks for everyone, as well as hiking poles.

What a fantastic way to start a visit to Palm Springs. We got up early to beat the heat and had a wonderful hike on a gorgeous day. Rene was very helpful with information regarding the trail, Palm Springs and the surrounding areas. He gave us great pointers on what else to see during our stay in the area.

Great hiking tour. Easy to find start point. David and Rene were full of great info about what to expect. They had a lot of little extras - they brought extra water in case we ran out (we did) and lots of snacks for the rest at the top. Excellent guides for info about plants and animals we saw, history of Palm Springs, geology, etc. plus they both had great senses of humor!

We scheduled this our first day in PS because we wanted to learn more about the area and topography without having to study :), and because we planned to do a lot of hiking while here and wanted to know more about trails and plants, wildlife, etc. We were not disappointed. Our hosts accommodated each person's level of fitness and comfort with hiking and they did it with finesse so all in the (small) group felt comfortable within their ability. They carried snacks for us, took pictures they shared immediately, helped with directions, lunch recommendations, shared info on other trails we would enjoy in the area in the coming days... An unexpected bonus was pointing out homes and architecture in the area and sharing some stories about the many famous people who have made PS their home over the years. Gracious, knowledgeable, and thoughtful hosts and a beautiful hiking area. Definitely recommend.
