We have a small farm in Tai-Tapu, (which is Maori for sacred watering hole). Where we have cows, sheep, goat, chickens and ducks.

We have been involved in farming and animals all our of lives, having both grown up on our family farms.

We are passionate about sustainable living and being able to live off the land.

We love sharing our passion about farm animals and living off the land to all that are interested.

We both have a great sense of humour and let visitors get as involved as they want to.

We offer a hands-on approach with lots of animal interaction as well as lots of information about the animals and living sustainably, understanding animal and poultry breeding. At different times of the year there are different things going on at the farm: such as new calves, new lambs, baby chicks, ducklings, kittens.

Fantastic experience! Julia was so friendly and she showed us around her lovely farm. It was spring season so there were new born lambs, chicks and calves. They were super cute and so lovely. Julia let us hug them which was amazing moment for me! We fed the animals including sheep, lambs, cows, chickens, goat and ducks. All of those animals were so lovely. Julia was very friendly and she explained about farm life. She was very professional and her story was very interesting. I learned a lot about life of farm animals and how they take care of them. The farm is just short drive from Christchurch city. I totally recommend to everyone who visits Christchurch! Must do if you are from a city. Thank you Julia!
