What you'll do

The basic version of the experience is as follows. But it's fully custom. There is no fixed path we have to follow. We will start next to the main gate of the city and make our way through the Old Town. On the way I'll tell you about the history and culture of Poland and Kraków. After that we'll see the Castle and a place with the BEST view in town. The last stop will be Kazimierz (the Jewish quarter). On the way we'll make breaks to have coffee in a hidden café, something to eat at a local restaurant, or maybe a drink in a cool bar. I'll teach you some polish too and be happy to answer all your questions. I want to show the beauty of Kraków like the locals see it. The food/drink recommendations I give are always truly local places. On the way we'll sneak into some spaces guided tours will never get to.

Maja

I'm an enthusiastic architect born and living in Kraków. I'm doing PhD studies in architecture and I teach English part time. I've been showing people around Kraków for the past 3,5 years. I want them to feel comfortable and like they're discovering the city, not just following a tour guide. I take them to places regular tours never go to (hidden cafes, places with amazing view, and places they especially are interested in) I'm a very open person. I love to meet new people. While walking I share my knowledge on the city, the history, current situation and answer any questions that arise. I've lived in Berlin and Vienna. I love traveling and learning new languages. I speak Polish, English, German, some Italian, and I'm learning Danish and French at the moment.

Where you'll be

The Old Town: the Royal Way, hidden cafe, rooftop and basement of a luxury hotel, old magical courtyards, a selection of various churches. The Castle: seeing existing buildings, finding the clues to the destroyed ones, "czakram" energy spot, the Dragon's den, place with the best view in the city. Kazimierz: Second oldest pub in Kraków, cafes/bars with unique design, flee market, walk past surviving synagogues.
