What you'll do

This will be a really fun and probably new experience for everyone. Goats are great hikers, and you will get to walk some goats as we stroll through Sonoma County's beautiful parks. We will hiking different featured parks in Sonoma County throughout the year. You will learn fun facts about goat behavior and as well as our mission at Goatlandia; all while enjoying fresh air and beautiful outdoor activity with new friends. At Ragle Ranch Park, will meet inside the park at the Gazebo; right on the main entrance road. Look for two people and a couple of goats :) We will hike for 45-60 minutes and return for an organic plant-based picnic under gorgeous old oak trees. If the weather is cool, we will be coming back to the sanctuary for lunch indoors.

Deborah

Hi! I'm Deborah, the founder and director of Goatlandia; a local non-profit animal sanctuary located in Santa Rosa. We are home to goats, pigs, chickens, ducks and sheep. We LOVE all animals but have a special place in our hearts for goats! We all need a little more exercise in our life so we thought it would be fun to bring some of our animal family on hikes with friends. Goats are known to be great climbers and love exploring; so what better way than to spend your afternoon than hiking the gorgeous parks of Sonoma County in between goat cuddles. We will provide goat treats for you to give them, and we will provide you with a post hike picnic including a delicious, organic plant-based meal. We look forward to seeing you out on the trail!

About the organization

Goatlandia Farm Animal Sanctuary

Goatlandia is an animal sanctuary that rescues farm animals and educates the public about the choice for a compassionate lifestyle. In addition to providing a safe and loving forever home to our own feathered and furry family, we also place our rescued animal friends into other loving homes through our adoption program. We do all kinds of events both here at the sanctuary and out in the community.

This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to Goatlandia Farm Animal Sanctuary.
