What you'll do

Delve inside the mysterious world of bees and become a beekeeper just like that! Bees are absolutely magical and their honey has so much more to offer than simply a sweet addition to your tea or toast. Hobo Homestead is set on one of the oldest properties in Byron just walking distance from town. Here you will learn all about the Native Australian (non stinging) Bee and all the magic they provide. We will give you a brief intro on all you need to know about joining the world wide bee movement of homegrown bee keepers and how to plant your garden (even your balcony or rooftop) to support our little friends. We will also spend some time in the barn kitchen brewing homegrown delicious tea (and cocktails if you so desire) with honey as well as explore how to use honey for your own skincare product and learn about the medicinal offering honey provides for your every day uses. If you would like to enquire as to getting a hive setup at your home we will endeavour to help you make this happen so you can do your little part to save the world!
