What you'll do

Enjoy this 1.5-hour guided tour of Papalani Farm, (meaning"Heavenly Earth Mother" in the Hawaiian Language) where you’ll taste tropical fruits, herbs, macnuts and vegetables and learn about sustainable organic farming practices on Hawaii Island. We’ll meet inside the front gate near the Papalani Farm roadside stand. From there, Juhl (the proprietor) will lead us thru the lower acreage which is a manicured and well kept sustainable farm with 20 plus variety of fruit trees, cocoa, fruits, nuts, berries, herbs, orchids and ornamentals. Then, it’s a stroll to the macadamia nut orchard where there will be macnut husking, cracking and tasting . After, we will walk thru the natural forested acres of the property where there is wild Kona Coffee and many other fruits and veggies all the way to the gazebo for some light farm fresh seasonal refreshments. (I can drive those in need of more assistance if you don't wish to walk.. it is a nice uphill slope). After coming down from the Gazebo, refreshments and the stunning ocean view, we'll return to Papalani's carport store where seasonal fruits and vegetables from the farm as well as dehydrated apple bananas, dehydrated and roasted macnuts, pineapple and various other organic products are available for purchase.
