What we’ll do

At 11:00 AM Sunday morning, 20 min. North of Lafayette, meet us at our very own famous SWLA underground folk art museum, honky tonk and dancehall, called The Whirlybird, where Christy and Jim will host a Cajun & Zydeco dance class, learning the two-step and waltz. We have our own private South Louisiana folk art museum, honky tonk & dancehall, The Whirlybird, featured in the formidable Southern Living Magazine - “Some of the biggest names in Cajun music & beyond “pass a good time” there.” We visit Vermilionville Living History Museum & Folklife Park - one of Lafayette’s premiere tourist attractions - which was created as a way to preserve & represent Acadian, Creole and Native American cultures 1765-1890.
