What we’ll do

Taste of Africa offers cooking classes and dinner which showcases local Gambian cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere. Meals are always served ‘family style‘. A Traditional Approach to Cooking. Tasting the food, learning how to prepare each dish from scratch and the history behind the ingredients. You will learn how to cook and experience an authentic Gambian meal. What I’ll provide

Tasting menu
Benachin: is a popular Gambian dish that is prepared in one pot alone. It consists of rice, vegetables and meat or fish that is cooked together. Domoda: Is dish made with ground peanut , fish or meat seasoned with vegetables.
Juice
Wonjo juice : is dark cranberry-coloured juice, made from boiling the dark red flower from the sorrel plant. Baobab juice: The baobab tree is a proud symbol of Africa. A majestic tree that can live for thousands of years.

Where you'll be

Every first Saturday of the month you can join our public events at : Holmedalsgården 3. 5003 Bergen. Located in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Bryggen also known as Tyskebryggen in the heart of Bergen. Time 4:00 PM -7:30 PM from February 1, 2020.
