What you'll do

In the time when Art Nouveau emerged, Lviv experienced vast and rapid development. The new style left countless footprints in the streets of our city.
It was the time when hundreds of beautiful, elegant, and original buildings took part in shaping the city’s new appearance. No wonder many people come to Lviv just to see the city of Art Nouveau or as we call it Secession.

The tour includes 1,5 hours of walk through the Art Nouveau district and an exciting story about life in Lviv at the turn of the centuries. You will also visit the very special Art Nouveau cafe with an authentic interior of the style. And of course, will enjoy a cup of coffee and traditional Lviv cheesecake "syrnyk".

Let us take you back to the times of the industrial revolution and the vast growth of the city.

Transport, coffee, and "syrnyk" dessert are included.

Regarding the situation with COVID-19, I provide experiences using masks for me and my guests.

FOR GROUPS and individuals who want personal experience: contact me if you would like to attend the experience on a specific date which isn't available in the calendar.

Hello, my name is Anna and I'm in love with Ukraine and Lviv city. I'm a professional guide in Lviv and the region. And I like to show special places here like Kastelivka district, Novy Svit or Pidzamche. Typical tourists never go there by themself. I've graduated from the historical faculty Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University and defended my Ph.D. thesis in ethnology. So I like to share my knowledge but in an easy fun way with a lot of jokes. Guiding is my passion and for each guest, I try to make a friendly and atmosphere of hospitality. My goal is to create a feeling that we know each other for a long time and you just visit your old friend in Lviv. I provide tours in English, Polish, Ukrainian and Russian languages. Join me!

Where you'll be

I will show you very special districts Kastelivka and Novy Svit where we will enjoy great Secession architecture and of course a few good examples of Art Deco and Functionalism. You'll see the luxury districts of break of the XIX-XX century. And will feel how rich and famous locals were living that time. It is like to use a time machine and come back to the past.

Anna has a Ph. D. in Ukrainian cultural studies and she is very well prepared to show and discuss aspects of architecture, design, culture and history in Lviv. She is also a trained guide with a clear and animated style of presentation. In our case, we used both fluent English and Russian. Highly recommended.
