What you'll do

In this experience you set out together with my excellent guide and driver and you will see the best, most interesting and most beautiful places in Aswan! You will be picked up from your address in Luxor. Your first visit is to the temple of Philea. The complex on the former island of Philae was completely cut into pieces and placed a little further on the higher island (Agilkia). Then you visit the high dam of Aswan, the Nile used to flood every year in the summer. The floods were unpredictable and often caused damage. It was therefore considered necessary to make them manageable by means of a dam. After this you go to the unfinished obelisk, the makers of the obelisk immediately started to carve into the solid rock, but there were cracks in the granite and the project was abandoned. The bottom of the obelisk is still attached to the solid rock. Finally you visit the Nubian Village, here you'll visit a traditional Nubian house and I tell you about the culture, history, and lifestyle of one of Africa's oldest civilizations. Included: - pick and return from your Luxor address - an excellent Egyptology guide - a private car / van with air conditioning - a lunch box for on the road The ticket prices are not included, for this experience the extra costs (and these can only be paid in Egyptian pounds): Philea temple: 180 EGP Unfinished obelisk: 80 EGP

Hi, my name is Mohamed and my major passions are history, art and travel. On the West Bank of Luxor I have apartments for rent, and in Luxor city I have shops (including an antique shop in the Old Winter Palace with 19th century objects) and a travel agency. Together with my team, an excellent Egyptology guide and chef I would like to let you experience the best of Luxor. This experience is still new on Airbnb, but I have been organizing these tours for years, including for my guests in the apartments, to get an idea, read their reviews in my profile.
