What you'll do

We'll start our journey at The Winemakers Club in Farringdon for a wine tasting experience in this wine pub located under a bridge in the City of London. Next, we'll move to Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, a pub located on Fleet Street, at Wine Office Court where guests will have an opportunity to taste real cask ales and learn about the pub's regular patrons of the past, including Charles Dickens, G.K. Chesterton and Mark Twain. We'll then shift gears back to wine by moving nearby to El Vino on Fleet Street, which was founded in 1879, then known as Bower and Co. Guests will sample wine and learn about the iconic role that the pub played in the fabric of the City of London from the late 19th century to this day. Lastly, we'll cap off the tour with a visit to Ye Olde Mitre, a traditional real ale pub established in 1547, tucked away in a small alleyway, with framed pictures displaying history on its walls. Here we'll try most tasty cask ales and craft brews while learning more about the cornerstone of London culture -- the public house.

James

I studied Oenology & Viticulture at Brock University in Canada, and have worked in winemaking in multiple countries. I have lived in London for nearly six years and have been an Airbnb host in that time. I've developed a great guide book for Airbnb guests, imparting my knowledge regarding the best local haunts for vintage wines and craft beers. I would love to be able to share my knowledge and expertise with travellers seeking a one-of-a-kind experience on Airbnb.
