What you'll do

Our experience starts with an introduction to Brixton and the history on how Brixton became the multi-cultural hotspot it is today. After the introductions, we will walk and explore the world-famous Brixton Market, where you'll be given the history of the market and the opportunity to learn about some of the foods and spices that are indigenous to Africans and Carribeans. After the market tour, we will see where local artists have immortalised famous Brixtonains. Then we venture onto our next site where we will discover the fascinating history of the settlement of the West Indians that first arrived on SS Emire Windrush in 1948 and the effect it had in the area and Britain as a whole visit. An authentic Caribbean lunch will be provided.
