What you'll do

The purpose of this walking tour is to share my expertise of Rome with you. I wish to provide you a special perspective on my city, giving you access to a special view of the most interesting spots. You will see historical places and old alleys with traditional old shops. We will pass by gastronomic local specialities for tasty pit stops and see some interesting sites and ancient fountains and monuments. We conclude our tour with an aperitif in an old wine shop accompanied by some bakery pizza, as the Romans do. This will also be an occasion to discuss about what we have been doing, and what you can do next.

Marco

Hi! My name is Marco, I was born in Rome and one of my favorite hobbies is to walk around the city. I have been doing this for years, discovering interesting walks and spots, and I can proudly say that I have become a connoisseur of my city and her secrets. Moreover, I have a sweet tooth and love food specialities, and therefore I have got to know all the best places where to cherry-pick local tidbits. I have been studying architecture , I'm an artist and a stock photographer, and my main interests range from historical churches to old art.

I offer a walking tour which is centered on Renaissance Rome, including Campo de' Fiori (Arco degli Acetari, via dei Cappellari, and via Giulia), the Jewish Ghetto (via della Reginella, piazza Mattei, and Portico d’Ottavia) and Trastevere (Tiber Island, ponte Sisto, piazza Trilussa) This involves about 3 hours walking, which corresponds to around 3-4 kilometers. The tour starts at 15:30.
