To source the best ingredients, we will pay a visit to the Matosinhos market, a lovely town, known for its sardine fishing and the canning industry. The Municipal Market of Matosinhos, is an essential reference for the population of Porto.Open since the first half of the 20th century, it manages to combine the tradition of the old markets, where you fill your eyes with the variety of delicacies and fresh products exposed in small stalls, and stunning architectural beauty. I will tell you all about the tips & tricks in finding the best and freshest ingredients for the Portuguese Cuisine. Don't worry, we will make sure to bring you to the market and back to Porto. We will enjoy a lovely ride in our Land Rover Defender, passing by the stunning coastline, where the noise and the smell of the sea precede the calmness of the river waters, awakening all the senses necessary to enhance the Culinary experience which will follow. Arriving in our cooking resident, our cozy kitchen facilities are ready for us to prepare and enjoy a delicious meal!

Devoting almost 20 years to banking and insurance industry, I decided to change my life and devote myself to what really gives me pleasure after all these years. My passion for traditional Portuguese cuisine and in welcoming friends has led me to dedicate the past amazing years to acquiring knowledge and studying gastronomy. It is as a Chef at Cook in Ribeira that I am delighted to welcome everyone who wants to participate in an hands-on Portuguese cooking class and want to learn more about our life costumes, the real taste of Porto!

In a privileged space inserted in the block of Ribeira and Palácio da Bolsa, Cook in Ribeira is a place for discovering and learning about Portuguese gastronomy. We are on the first floor of number 16 in a historic building. On the ground floor there is the Ryans irish pub. Our bell is the one on the lower right corner.
